Digital Mammography and DEXA Services Now Available at Waldorf Imaging Center

Digital mammography creates a host of benefits for patients and their physicians. Converting to digital imaging is comparable to changing from a film-based camera to a top-of-the line digital camera. Digital images afford the ability to share images electronically and usually have improved clarity and interpretation.
 
Karen Trevathan, Director of Operations, states, “The technology dramatically cuts the number of repeat films and it’s faster for patients because we eliminate darkroom processing. The results are high quality images on every study we perform.”

DEXA, a quick and painless scan for osteoporosis and osteopenia risk, has also been added to the Waldorf location.
